Please praise God and pray for Tanzania this week. ~~*> Praise God for the seven clubs started in our High School Ministry, with an average attendance of 420 people. Pray for changed lives, multiplication of groups. Also pray for volunteers who can give leadership to this ministry. ~~*> Pray for more labors to join the ministry as full time workers, associate staff members and volunteers. ~~*> Pray for accomplishing our ministry plans for 2018. We are lagging behind the goals for Deeplife 2020 (win, build, send and mobilize). May God help us accelerate the work already started in the Student Led Movement and Global Church Movement. YOUTH AGENDA STATEMENT TO COMMEMORATE WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY Youth Agenda Trust (YAT) today joins the rest of the world in commemorating World Environmental Day, under the theme “Connecting People to Nature”. The world has been celebrating the efforts of communities who work for a healthier environment on this day having been marked by the United Nations since 1972 on the occasion of the first global conference on the human environment. Today we join individuals and environmental organizations across Zimbabwe and the whole world working to remediate environmental damage, protect endangered species and ecosystems and work for the transition to a more sustainable economy for co-existence with the environment. The commemorations are the biggest annual event for positive environmental sustainability. World Environment Day is a day for everyone, everywhere to uphold the environmental integrity a key step towards attaining sustainable development and meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. The commemorations aims to inspire more people than ever before to take action to prevent the growing strain on planet Earth’s natural systems from reaching the breaking point. This year’s theme, implores human race to co-exist with nature, appreciate its beauty and its importance and take forward the call to protect the Environment. This year’s theme invites our communities to think about how we are part of nature and how intimately we depend on it. It is the responsibility of all and our youths to take action to preserve and conserve the environment and in particular the need for continuous clean- up of the environment and our surrounding. It helps encourage action to protect our environment and fosters a deeper appreciation of our connection to the natural world. Youth Agenda Trust welcomes the ratification of the Paris Agreement on Climate an undertaking by national governments to take the necessary steps towards putting adaptation and mitigation action plans that safeguard the integrity of the environment as soon as possible. We urge national governments to keep the spirit upon which the Paris Agreement came into effect to safeguard the needs of the current generation and those of the future. YAT further urges communities within their local setups especially the youths to have community based initiatives that build into national and global action to tackle the biggest environmental challenges of our time. The major environmental challenges we face requires environmental stewardship amongst the youths more than ever. Youth Agenda Trust will thus commemorate World Environment Day in Epworth on Thursday the 8th of June 2017 through a Community Clean Up campaign. Youth Agenda Trust Information and Publicity
